Settlement yesterday!

We have keys!

We went out to Warwick Farm yesterday, and had a very short settlement meeting with a very lovely lady.

She went through all the post-settlement tasks remaining, and helped us by booking the vendors in for the same day if at all possible.

It went thus -

Beeman Communications - need to install Telstra copper to street pit - asap
Statewide Electrical - need to install grid power to our private pole, and install meter in fusebox, booked for 18th April
Penrith Air - need to install external air conditioning unit, booked for 18th April
Appliances are also down for delivery and installation on 18th April
DUX hot water system, I'm assuming installed by Masterton's subs, assumed for 18th April also
Sentinel will be back on 18th April to install the data points
Accent Flooring will come on 18th April to install the carpet

We need to follow up with SS re site cleanup, rubbish removal, insulation installation

We need to follow up with CC re house occupation certificate paperwork, otherwise we can't live there

The retaining walls are going to be installed sometime this week, or early next. Same goes for the driveway and the turf.

We need an electrician to reconnect the pool, so I can vacuum and get it working again.

Here's some photos -

A late afternoon photo. The padlock and chain are gone from the wire fence -

Want a swim? We've removed the boards from the pool. It actually doesn't look too bad. There are lots of leaf debris, and I found a big frog swimming around in there - frogs legs anyone? -

As part of the plumbing a year ago when the slab went down, we paid extra and had the Masterton sub-contractor plumbers plumb in a few lines to our pool filter box in the left rear. They removed one panel of the pool fence. But lost half of the brackets and screws in the process, so now we have a panel that is only loose on the frame. I'm now on the hunt to purchase the bracket shown below -

Yesterday we had Narellan Pools out, to re-plumb the lines given the alterations to draining run (and for solar in the future). They did a neat job. Electricity is next -

Here's the pool in it's dirty glory, and the rear of the house. Not the prettiest of houses from the back, imo -

Beeman Communications must've moved quickly, as I found Tuesday afternoon that they'd dug a new trench from the Telstra pit in council strip, diagonally across our front yard, to under the fusebox - perfect timing!!

And here's the result - a Telstra connection point - love it! Also, this morning there was a truck delivering our coloured blocks for the retaining walls that are to be installed next week. So much happening in the next week, it's crazy! -
